 Welcome                           
Rowland welcomed members to our 64th meeting and introduced new members Geoff & Penny Gardner. The venue for our meeting was changed to the Sunflower Suite at the last minute due to staff training commitments in our usual room my apologies to members who might not have heard all that was said.
Correspondence
Rowland received a number of e-mails from Avon, Somerset & Wiltshire Cancer Services (ASWCS) relating to user involvement meetings.

Web Site
The Colon-aid web site has been updated to add the minutes of the October meeting.
Stoma Events
Members were reminded that Julie has arranged a “Stoma Care Get Together” on Thursday 24 November 2011 2.00pm to 3.30pm at Yeovil Court Hotel, 175 West Coker Road, Yeovil, BA20 2HE.
Guest Speaker
No guest speaker this month to allow more time for the Open Forum.
Open Forum
During the Open Forum members discussed a number of topics including participation in clinical trials and stoma appliances. There was also the opportunity to catch up with news of a number of members recovering from various procedures.
Refreshment Break
Donations for tea, coffee and biscuits of £24 90p were passed on to St Margaret’s by Rowland. Stan & Hazel ran a raffle that generated £50 see below for donation to the Children In Need Appeal.
Any Other Business
Heather and baguettes
Heather popped in briefly before the meeting to say that on a recent trip to France she bought a baguette that was contained in a paper bag that had Colorectal Cancer information on one side and Breast Cancer on the other side. Heather said “If the French can do it why can’t we?”
