Welcome                           
Rowland welcomed members to our 61st meeting and 5th Birthday Party and introduced new members Eileen & Terry Allen.
Apologies
Apologies as noted above. Peter  from Portland sent his best wishes but is unable to attend our meetings as he unfortunately is no longer allowed to drive; he wished to continue too receive our meeting minutes as a way of staying in touch.
Correspondence
Rowland received a number of e-mails from ASWCS relating to user involvement meetings.
Matters Arising
Web Site
The Colon-aid web site has been updated to add the minutes of the July meeting and add updates to our List of Recommended Toilets page and correct errors in Kerry Rennie’s Clinical Trials Presentation.
Guest Speaker
A guest speaker was not arranged for this month so that we have more time for our party.
Refreshment Break & Party Time
Donations for tea, coffee and biscuits of £29 were passed on to St Margaret’s by Rowland. Stan & Hazel ran a raffle that generated £47 20p for our Raffle Fund.
Members enjoyed a very good buffet and drink selection and thanked Maureen for once again making our birthday cake.

Presentation of Cream Tea Donations
Stan presented £500 cheques to Julie Burton for YDH Colorectal/Stoma Care Department and Andrea Ledger & Lorraine Sloyan on behalf of St Margaret’s Hospice in recognition of their support to Colon-aid and their work in helping patients and their families/carers.
