The meeting decided that the structure of the group should be kept as simple as possible and at this stage a formal committee with committee meetings was considered to be inappropriate.   Initially all that was required was a Chair to take over running of meetings from Maggie Soulsby  and a Webmaster to look after the web site. It was proposed that Rowland Hackett should take  on the role of Chair and continue his work as Webmaster.  Maggie Soulsby agreed that her team would continue to support our meetings and provide the secretarial support for our meeting minutes and mailing list. As we do not have membership fees we do not need a Treasurer or an Auditor so we can keep things simple.

Our monthly meetings would have a ‘business’ section where members could raise issues or propose changes for discussion by the group who would then make decisions by a show of hands.  In this way it was hoped to involve all members in group development rather than leave things up to a ‘committee’.
