Post meeting notes
Rowland has invited Pauline Kibblewhite the Volunteer Co-ordinator for the Somerset Cancer Care Yeovil CAFÉ to be guest speaker at our meeting on the 18th September 2009.
The SSG meeting on the 14th September 2009 has been cancelled due to availability; a new date will be advised shortly.
Ann has contacted PALS at YDH and they have passed the concern onto the Colorectal/Stoma Care Department and the Deputy Director of Facilities. Rowland has provided additional information to Ann for PALS.
Party Time
We started off with a group photo and then a presentation of a £400 cheque to Carole Taylor of St Margaret’s Hospice who joined us for the party. Members enjoyed cakes and savouries and a choice of drinks. The red wine went down well in certain quarters. Our thanks to Maureen who once again provided the birthday cake with icing in our group colours. Click here for photos.
During the party Stan & Hazel ran a raffle of member donated prizes and raised £26 for our Raffle Fund. Refreshment donations today raised £14 that Rowland passed to St Margaret’s.
We obtained a card for Irene for members to add their messages and this was taken down to Irene by Stan and Maureen at the end of the meeting.

The next meeting will be on Friday 18 September 2009 from 2.00pm-4.00pm at St Margaret’s Hospice, Yeovil.
