New Members
We were pleased to welcome John Nile as a new member.
We were also pleased to welcome back Corrina Comer who has returned to the Colorectal/Stoma Care Department. Corrina was at our first meeting and she used to take notes and prepare the meeting minutes of our early meetings.
Welcome
Rowland welcomed members to our 37th meeting that was also our 3rd Anniversary Party and apologised for a delayed start as he and Debra had been visiting Irene who was being cared for in the Hospice. Irene was unable to join us but hoped that we had a good party.
Carole Taylor of St Margaret’s Hospice joined us for the party and presentation.
Correspondence
Rowland sent a copy of our 3rd Annual Report to Paula Bond the Macmillan Support South West Co-ordinator and received an e –mail from her that included: - “I’ve just been on your web site and it is really excellent – with a good balance of information, personal stories and hints and tips.”
Rowland sent e-mails inviting our YDH guest speakers to join us to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, however, due to work and leave commitments they were unable to attend.
Rowland also invited the Macmillan Unit nurses but they were also unable to attend due to pressure of work.
