Raffle Fund balance
The balance of our Raffle Fund as of the 20th March 2009 was £83.34 this reduced to £8.34 following the £30 donation to Bowel Cancer UK and the £45 refund to Rowland. An anonymous donation of £30 and the £26 from today’s raffle bring the current balance of our fund to £64.34.
Cream Tea Afternoon Saturday 20th June 2009
Stan and Hazel confirmed Saturday 20th June 2009 as the date for our annual fund raising event at Primrose Hill Farm, East Coker 2.00pm to 5.00pm. Cream Teas are £3.50 per person. A raffle will be held and proceeds will be donated to bowel cancer related charities/organisations. Members are invited to donate raffle prizes and cakes and plants for the sale stands. Please come along and bring friends to enjoy the afternoon.
We will set up a Bowel Cancer Awareness stand and a Colon-aid stand to provide information on screening and support.
We will need volunteers to assist with serving refreshments and selling Bowel Cancer UK pins, raffle tickets, cakes and plants. Final details will be covered at our 19th June meeting.

Odcombe Open Gardens 6-7 June 2009 1.00pm-5.00pm
Heather gave members a note providing details of the Odcombe Open Garden with Creative Art event. Entry with a programme costs £5 and proceeds will be divided between St Margaret’s Hospice and Odcombe Church.
Apologies for June Meeting
Stan and Hazel will be busy on the farm getting ready for the Cream Tea. Elizabeth and Geoffrey will miss the meeting but expect to join us the next day for a Cream Tea.

The next meeting will be on Friday 19th June 2009 from 2.00pm-4.00pm at St Margaret’s Hospice, Yeovil.
