1. It is with sadness that we record the passing of Melvyn John Hopkins on the 24th June 2007. Melvyn’s courage and fortitude whilst undergoing intensive chemotherapy will not be forgotten, nor will his lively participation at our group meetings.  Our thoughts are with Pauline  and family at this difficult time.
2. Our Cream Tea Afternoon on 6th July 2007 was a great success, the number attending exceeded our expectations . A big thank you to Annette from YDH Stoma Care Department and to all group members who helped with the refreshments and contribution of prizes for the raffle. Also a very big thank you to Stan and Hazel and their family for all their hard work in making the event such a success. The sale of refreshments, cake auction, raffle and a number of donations raised a considerable sum and after covering our expenses it looks as though we raised about £900 that will be divided between, YDH Stoma Care Department, YDH Oncology Unit and St Margaret’s Hospice Yeovil.
